Originally a Malaysian-based company founded in 1993, SIP ~ the one and only program of its kind in the world ~ began expanding overseas soon afterwards. With regional educational partners, founding company director Mr Kelvin Tham established SIP Indonesia by 1997. Since then, SIP has developed the largest network of any such program throughout the Asia Pacific region. In fact, it continues to be the fastest growing, children’s brain enhancement program in the world! With its advanced formula designed to meet the challenging demands of today’s young generation, it has indeed set the international standard of being such a successful and revolutionary primary educational program.

Today, our Smart Intellectual Program is fully functional in no less than 12 countries. We have over 1,300 fully operational specialist learning centres, representing a worldwide student enrollment of just under quarter of a million! Such statistics are indeed proof positive of our scientifically developed, unique cognitive curriculum. The outstanding learning achievements during the crucial and impressionable time of a young child’s growing psychological maturity speak for themselves.
By 1999, based on our own intensive research and development findings in Malaysia, we created the Abacus Revolution with our own trademark.  Essentially, this highly successful learning technique is based on the principles of modifying and incorporating value added methodologies into our program. This wholly new and original learning strategy inculcates and promotes both left AND right brain communicative interaction to greatly enhance children’s overall cerebral function and efficiency. Our ultimate aim is for the child to achieve peak performance.

In other words, through focused stimulation of the mind’s neurotransmitters, certain hemispheres of the brain, which may have been lying dormant, are fully awakened into full and efficient mental activity. This simply translates into whether a child will be a poor performer, or even failure at school, into a potential genius! With Abacus Methodology, results clearly show that in addition to children’s vastly improved scholastic skills, all aspects of knowledge, creativity, self-confidence, courage and endurance increase dramatically to achieve overall higher academic and non academic performance.

Today, we are proud to announce that our specialised and unparalleled SEMPOA Program ~ Sistem Edukasi Mengoptimumkan Potensi Otak Anak or Educational System to Optimise Children’s Mental Potential ~ is also the fastest growing Abacus-based learning program in the entire Asia Pacific region. In fact, we are continuing to expand throughout the following 17 countries: Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, UK, China, India, Sri Lanka, Philippines, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, South Africa and Vietnam!

Current SIP Academy Programs
  1. SIP Junior or AMAL Program ~ Accelerated Mental Learning for young learners of 4½ to 6 years of age
  2. Abacus, Mental Arithmetic incorporating Brain Gym ~ whole brain development program incorporating smart mental exercises utilizing the Abacus Approach for young learners of 6 to 12 years of age
  3. Soft skill training for students from 10 to 18 years of age. Over and above academic studies, this emphasises the important life survival skills of self-motivation, self-expression, discovery and realization, confidence and self- esteem building, overcoming fears and the value of teamwork through both outdoor camp activities as well as in-house training. This often involves students' family members as well as teachers. 

 

Human brain development is mostly completed by age 12.  Our mental enhancement program therefore focuses on children of this age. It uses the Abacus, involving the numbers 1-9 only and therefore comprehension at this level lies outside the realm of advanced language skills. People, especially young children, think in pictures, and in fact learn much more productively when they are involved in hands-on activities. SIP efficient, fresh and creative learning techniques are thereby based on these important developmental principles and practices.
Within all these programs, focus is upon the development of the right and left hemispheres of the brain, visualization, thinking skills, concentration, retention and recall. Adding a whole new dimension to the classroom, these programs all help children to read and write much faster and more accurately ~ essential skills needed for proficient learning, thereby substantially improving not only the child’s mathematical abilities, but total academic performance!
